    rust remover scam

I switched from EvapoRust to Rust 911 a few years ago and like it much better. Faster, cheaper and lasts longer than ER. $80/gal but mixes 15:1 with water so actual cost is about $5/gal. Also tried the youtube recipe. Worked but not enough cost savings to make it worth the trouble vs Rust 911.

    De-fueling and re-fueling...

I gave away my newer gas cans and haven't poured gas in years. VP Racing jugs or a 20gal fuel cell and a $10 swap meet fuel pump, DeWalt 12V adapter/battery/switch, hose and something to hold it all together. Metal fuel lines on the hoses give them some weight to hold down in can/tank. Little...

    MAFCA membership?

Similar experience. Joined a few years ago. Let it lapse but renewed and got charged but no confirmation, no new Restorer issues, nothing. Assume it's mostly volunteer run but screw it, I don't have time to chase them down.

    sandblasting............

Not sure what you got but I never had much luck with the cheap, small sandblasters that look like they're made out of propane tanks. Just gave away about a 15gal. They just don't work well. Moisture/clogs are a constant problem. The more expensive small blasters with large fill opening and lid...

    Dave Melnor (?)

Looks like he found another place to post a zillion photos - one at a time. I don't get it. Personally, I'm glad I don't have to sort through a bunch of pic posts just to see tech stuff. If I want to see random Model A pics, Google images has thousands of them.

    ‘31 S/W Cabriolet w Mitchell 3-spd on BaT

Re: ‘31 S/W Cabriolet w Mitchell 3-spd on BaT Helped a friend get his father's TR6 sold on BaT last year so I tried to learn a little about it. Don't remember the buyer's fee but looks like they put a CC hold on 5% of high bid and if you win, tack on another 5%. So BaT is making 10% on each...

    ‘31 S/W Cabriolet w Mitchell 3-spd on BaT

Re: ‘31 S/W Cabriolet w Mitchell 3-spd on BaT Unless its changed bad thing about BaT is all high bidder gets is seller contact info to work out the details of the sale. BaT is out of it and collects no money from buyer. - no guarantee high bidder will actually follow through at high bid...

    Talcum Powder

Seed talc is available online and at supply stores in agricultural areas. The asbestos amount contained in some baby powder samples was miniscule. I think the only ones that benefited from the whole thing were the lawyers.

A big shout out to Dave Mellor NJ

Agree. Wanted to say same thing but I'm a noob here so let it go. The pics are nice but too many threads. Put all in single thread. Too many individual threads.
