    Cleaning Zinc running board trim

These were repo running boards that came with the car. They were stored uncovered in a barn since 1995. I think they came from Mac's as most all the other new parts the PO bought came from there. Whatever they're made of (zinc, zinc alloy, chinese steel, etc.) they sure look better...

    Cleaning Zinc running board trim

After reading many, many posts on claening Zinc (i.e. using lemons, rubbing on tomato paste, using vinager, etc, etc.) I tried using some aluminum cleaner I had on hand. It worked great. I brushed on the jelly-like cleaner, let it set for 5 minutes, then scrubbed it with a fine 3M scotch brite...

    Model A Shocks

Anyone know how to get in touch with John Holland in Ohio. I tried calling his phone number (330-483-3986) that has been listed in some old Ford Barn posts but the person who answered was not John Holland and have never heard of him. Thanks,,, Joe

    Sticking Valve

Tom. Yes, a burned valve will be obvious. It will look like you took a cutting torch to it and metled the valve face:eek:. If the valve is black and not distorted, it is not burned:). Joe,,,,

    King Pin differences

Bill, lift the front of the car up with a floor jack. Grab the wheel @ 12:00 o'clock and 6:00 o'clock and shake the wheel in & out to detect play in either the king pin bushings or the axle itself. Do this before greasing the bushings as grease will temporaly take the play out of worn bushing...

Why is oil leaking out of a cylinder head stud/nut?

Bars Leaks is a coolant stop-leak the you add to the cooling system. It will plug small coolant leaks though out the entire engine/cooling system. Bars Leaks is just a product name that I have used in the past with good sucess. Alumi-Seal is another good one. These stop-leak products are...
