I have the 9507 Powermaster Starter in my 34 Ford. It handles the french flathead easily. Due to my exhaust manifold I had to drill new fastening holes but that was it - no complaints after at least 10000km in the last 4 years.

Nice and easy to use. I guess we will get used to it quickly.

Remove and turn upside down

You can get high quality tubes with 4mm thick rubber for MX bikes. The rear wheel of such a bike is 19" so the size is near and the thick rubber is very strong. I only used these tubes when riding MX bikes.

Here are the pics. The hitch is removeable, two 1/2" bolts. Nothing visible from behind. The electric socket is resting on a genuine Ford stamped and coded plate - its the only genuine Ford part. Trailer hitches were not documented until the early fifties so nobody bothers me when the car gets...

I had a (non - working) lockable cap on my 34, spilling fuel when doing fast right turns with a full tank. I replaced the lock with a container attached to the cap that allows to breath enough but would need several clockwise laps with a full tank before the little container is filled with fuel...

Laser welding is your solution if you cannot machine it. If you have a lathe you could turn the diameter down and make shrink fit replacement.

I think you could get away without that extra shield. I run my french flathead without any sort of shield - just the cup with the mesh around 5/8" above the bottom of pan. Had to bend the tube and braze it to the cup. Never had a problem with lack of pressure.

2023 I had a normal aspirated flathead in my 34 and used Best gaskets - they were useless as the filler material "flows" out under the copper tin. Might have to do with use of aluminium heads on an iron engine. Look for Marts thread about Best gaskets, he had the same problem. 2024 onwards I...

I search for a dual carb intake for a Ford flathead, 8BA or 59AB style. No generator mount needed. There must be laying one somewhere in your shelf. Let me know - thanks!

....And no dual carb inlet manifold for a flathead as I am looking for one to convert for blower use.

Can´t be done if there is not a nut on the other end but a threaded part.

Check your oil for fuel contamination. This might explain the lower pressure.
