Thanks for your prompt reply. I will look carefully at my heads to see if they have any numbers. I noticed in one of the photos you sent had H&H on it. Did they make that head? If so are heads available from them? I called them regarding aluminum heads for my 35 and and they tried to sell me a...
I have found NOS aluminum heads for an early v-8 ford. The only identification is the script ford marking and below it “MADE IN CANADA”. Since it has no numbers on it, the year or years that these heads would be appropriate for is a mystery. Does any have any thoughts relative to these heads?
After further communication with several people familiar with Aluminum heads in about the 1933-36 years many reported problems. As a result they were replaced with cast iron heads. My 1935 ford coupe has cast iron heads with numbers 68-6049 B and 68-6050 B. Can anyone tell me if the heads in my...
Thanks for all your comments. As a result you have answered my question. The 35 heads originally were aluminum. Apparently problems did arise as mentioned in the emails and Ford suggested that their dealers replace them with cast iron heads which were less troublesome.
Does anyone know what deduction in points would occur if you used cast iron heads instead of aluminum heads? Ford realized that aluminum heads tended to warp and rust and replaced them with cast iron heads. Some were replaced in 1935.
What are the original heads in a 1935 ford car. I have seen both aluminum and cast iron. Which one is correct or are either acceptable according ACAA judging.
Thanks for your help.
The original radio in my 35 ford coupe was running up to a few years ago. Now all it does is “hum” when I turn it on. I suspect that I have a bad connection or a tube problem. Does anyone have a suggestions or recommendations as to whom I may contact to fix my radio. Thank you for your help.

I am completing the restoration of an early (February) 1935 ford 5 window coupe to original specifications and need an intake aluminum manifold. According to the 1935-1936 ford book page 106 the manifold is part 40-6159-B. Can anyone help me in locating this manifold? I thank your for help.
