Big gas leak when refueling my 1939 Conv. Sedan

I will check the fuel guage fitting but is there anyplace else that could be the source of a big leak only at the top of the tank? What about where the fuel line exits? Is there an air vent there?

Big gas leak when refueling my 1939 Conv. Sedan

I am getting a big fuel leak out of the top of my gas tank when refueling. It stops after a short time. It is not the filler pipe. My question is how do I remove the gas tank to see what is going on?
