    Products/methods to Preserve Patina

I have 36 Ford truck and want to keep the patina the green paint has achieved over the years. What methods have you used to achieve this end result and what were the pros and cons about it? A matt or semi glass is the end result I think interests me most. Presently the paint is dull and I...

Drip Guard for Gas Filler Neck

I bought a cap that "looks" like the one shown above with the V-8 stamped in. It was NOT a vented cap. Instructions in it said to "drill small hole in the Q" to vent it. So, I looking inside and sure enough, there was a Q in their. I drilled a very small hole and put it on so the hole is at the...

Removing the front seat out of a 1936 ford truck

So, it seems it is not really very accessible for tool storage? It sounds very in convenient to access meaning difficult to hold-up, search for tools, and such. I have attempted to lift lower seat, but the seat-back started to move forward/out. Felt like it was not conclusive to my purpose...

Air Filter Cleaner for 1936 Ford Truck

Good idea. Have not tried cleaning it yet, but plan to attempt it. maybe that will do it. However, it is very dirty. Maybe never cleaned! I cannot find anyone yet with ideas on where they are obtainable, or if there is a paper filter to replace it.

Air Filter Cleaner for 1936 Ford Truck

Ok, I have looked but to no avail. My 36 has the filter housing all in place but the the element (or filter) looks extremely old. It has wire mesh (small) surrounding a filter material that reminds me of the old water cooler matting. Likely something else but reminds of that anyway. The OD of...

Removing the front seat out of a 1936 ford truck

In previous other trucks of later year models I have had, you could push down and in on the front seat and lift the out the bottom cushion. Can you do it on these trucks? I tried but it did not seem to want to come out. Was looking for a place to store a few tools and under the seat seemed like...

Drip Guard for Gas Filler Neck

The biggest thing I think is the "slosh" issue. I know the tank has been replaced but really do not know if it is a vented tank or not. Guess I need to research this.

Drip Guard for Gas Filler Neck

Sorry, I had a DUH moment. It is a 36 Ford Truck. The tank and filler neck is located at the back near the bed.

Drip Guard for Gas Filler Neck

Anyone ever make or seen a Drip Guard for/attached to the Gas Filler neck? I will not fill my tank up anymore because it leaks from the cap and drips on my paint. Paint bubble up! Can't find a gasket for the old cap and even then not certain the vent part works properly when gas sloshes on it...

1936 ford pick up floor mat

I too am looking for floor mat for my 36 Ford Truck. All I am finding are mats with NO Die Cut holes. I would rather have one with holes cut I think. Just received reply from Dennis Carpenter telling me there are slight differences between the 36 car & truck floor boards with the hump...
