I have 41 ford with helmet style distributor, external coil conversion. This is positive ground so which wire goes to the coil is it negative from switch and positive to the distributor?

Nice solid original, redone in the 80s/90s stored inside for last 25 years. Recently got it running and driving . New gas tank, brake parts, rebuilt carb. Runs good in nice "driver" condition. Clear Florida title in my name. Only non original parts are Weiand heads and 3x2 intake , 97 carbs...

Anyone know of a good how-to set up points on the helmet style distributor? I've replaced the coil and condenser but cant get any spark.

As a result of sitting for lots of years, I need to have the gas tank in my 41 coupe either boiled out or replaced. It's silted and rusted inside. If I can't find a local shop to boil it out , where can I find a suitable replacement?

Hello how can I tell if the car has been converted to 12v or not? I got a 41 Ford with little information about it and no battery in it. Also if it is still 6v, is it a positive ground system? Thanks

One more question, should i pull the heads to make sure nothing made a home in there and same time check cyl wall condition?
