    39 vs 40

The 1939 Ford. The 1939 is beautiful. The 1940, while pleasing to the eye, looks like a 1939 with a bunch of stuff tacked on it. That 39 grill is much more attractive, as are the teardrop headlights and tail lights, than the 40 offerings. Pop out windshield, floor shifter, banjo wheel...

    Who Drove their Ford Today?

After a couple months of winter weather, a break was welcome. A great excuse to exercise the 1937 Ford.

    License plate restoration suggestions?

Dang. I just discovered the gentleman has passed away. Your reference was helpful and I thought that we had found a new plate guy. Take care.

With sad news , another old ford owner has passed

Sorry for the loss of your friend. Good luck with helping his family. To avoid what happened to the 39, I have left detailed instructions about how to start my cars and what to do and what not to do. Hope he didn't fry the coil. Good luck.

    a little off-topic, but

At the Ford Motor Company Hangar at the old Ford Airport in Lansing, Illinois (KIGQ) with the Ford Tri Motor and my 1937 Ford. For once an era car with an era airplane. I was a member of the CAF and EAA for years. The EAA would fly this bird to our field once in a while.
