    Great day for the A.

This post reminded me... Here is a photo from August of 2013, taking my 99 year old neighbor/friend Dana for a ride. Had been promising him a spin for more than a few years, but need to get the motor rebuilt first. Picture tells all...

    OK! Let's get personal!

I will be 65 in a few short weeks... Got my 28 roadster ~25 years and 50K miles ago. My daily driver when there's no "salt" on the roads. Basically a old guy who still gets a big charge out of driving his ratty blue roadster way to fast.

    Barn Find, Model A related

Yes it is amazing well put together very sturdy/solid. The Gentlemen(just turned 100 in January!!!) that gave it to me said that the fabricator made a few of these and sold them back in the day. The motor was made by the Lauson Co. in New Holstein WI. I've never heard of this make?

    pitman arm issue?

Chet, yes the steering sector is dead center. I rebuilt the steering box many years/miles ago and I did check the adjustment of it as part of this recent steering service. I agree there could be a few issues working against me here but before I started this recent service my car did track...

    pitman arm issue?

Machine Girl understands my issue exactly. Model A is a joy to drive if the steering is perfectly aligned. i.e. steer box dead center(no play) and the front wheels tracking straight ahead down the road. I will settle for nothing less. I have been eyeing that adjustable link on Ebay and may end...

    pitman arm issue?

I have a 28 roadster with a 2 tooth steering box. This spring I decided to replace the steering/pitman arms with re-balled units from A&L. I purchased these items outright. When I installed the new arms and set the steering wheel dead center the front wheels were not even close to straight...
