Limited run of 5.8:1 stock looking heads

I have been talking with someone about making 3 main blocks and the foundry is fully on board to help me get there. I will be concentrating on the head castings I have orders for first, but it will not take too long to get another block casting. Tod

I built the first block I ever cast back in 2014. Video on Youtube. Tod

Limited run of 5.8:1 stock looking heads

My blocks would be around $2000 right now. I use 3D printed sand so there is no core shift possible. If the market was there, which I keep hearing it is not, I could get down around $1750. Tod

Limited run of 5.8:1 stock looking heads

My 3 main blocks can be machined to B size mains. The 5 main crank I just recently cast is designed for B mains as well as larger rod journals. Was planning on a 3 main crank along the same line but... Tod

Limited run of 5.8:1 stock looking heads

These are the first 3 sample castings I had made to try my hand at slightly lower compression ratio than my specialty heads, like the Winfield (6 and 7:1), Weiand (6 and 7:1), and Stock Top Crow Foot (8:1). I will make some of these, but I do not imagine there will be an extensive market. I do...

Tod Buttermore Model A cylinder heads

I have been having a lot of trouble with FB. I sent you a message.

    Weiand-style head.

Here is the Weiand style prototype pattern with a second coat of Pattern lacquer. Material is ready to cut the first of 4 combustion chamber options for these heads. The 8:1 option will be my own take on a Thomas style chamber. The 6 and 7:1 chambers will be what I offer in my Winfield...

    Weiand-style head.

And here is the Weiand style head pattern with a first coat of pattern lacquer. I think it came out fine. This will serve nicely to make prototypes. Tod

    Weiand-style head.

Update: I started CNC cutting the tooling for this Weiand head today. It will take a few days to finish the pattern since I have other customer tooling I am cutting as well. Right now I have 3 different jobs taking up space in the one machine, with more waiting in line. I will be using 3D...

Stock top crow foot head, again

I am bumping this thread since Jack Backer mentioned these heads in another thread. Tod

The Terry Burtz 5 main bearing engine blocks are back on track.

I think I have a thread on them somewhere. The first ones have already been put on engines. They are over 7:1. I will post them again in a new thread in order to not hijack this thread. Tod

    Miller-style cylinder head

Pete, These are for Model T only. I have other heads for Model A's but I am having trouble getting castings due to my core shop working almost 24 hours a day and my foundries are 8 months backlogged. Tod

    Miller-style cylinder head

I will be making a few more prototypes soon, for additional testing and dyno, and then into production. Tod
