do not dent the drive shaft tube......clamp the driveshaft on the welds near the forward yoke or the aft end where it bolts to the companion flange.

bead blast plate, repair as necessary-body filler, prime- rust-oleum rusty metal prime #7769830, paint rust-oleum almond #7770830... these are spray can paints.... use brown pin stripe tape for the stripes... you will be happy take your time....tobby

probably isn't applicable to your problem, i use a product named fuel lube, once you use it you will use nothing else, it's available from aircraft spruce in southern california. buy it on line from them, comes in a tube........

Re: Question about stock ‘34 fuel pump and electric pump a good stock fuel pump is ok for most applications, i use an electric pump mounted near the fuel tank wired to a spring loaded momentary switch, so it will not be left on, for priming the carburetor if the car sits for long periods
