    '52 Customline Amp Gauge

Just a follow-up on my search. I traced the wires, using my wiring diagram (unfortunately it shows an idiot light and not a gauge) but it gave me enough information to know what to look for. Found no faults with the wiring, and the wire that runs through the "loops" of the amp gauge was hot. So...

    '52 Customline Amp Gauge

Your input at least heads me in a direction, my point in replying to jdl was I already knew the in dash amp gauge wasn't working. My inquiry was how to test the gauge, beyond the basic as noted by jdl, with your belief that the gauges normally do not fail, I'll go the route of trying to trace...

    '52 Customline Amp Gauge

Appreciate the response, but there is nothing you're telling me that I don't already know, basic knowledge. I was looking for information as to how to test the gauge or where to start with the wiring as a possible problem.

    '52 Customline Amp Gauge

Having an issue with my amp gauge. I replaced the wiring from the generator to the regulator, they were toasted, well kinda, just hardened and loosing insulation. The amp gauge shows no charge or discharge, before or after I replaced the wiring noted. I actually installed, temporarily, an after...

    Loud Whistle From 94 Carburetor

Problem solved. Removed the carb and didn't realize there were remnants of an old gasket on the manifold. Wire brushed that with a small wire wheel in my drill motor till clean (was surprised to discover the manifold mating surface was textured like a cheese grader). Installed a new base...

Great information, suspect base gasket as it's not in pristine condition, That's an easy solution to try initially. I'll update.

    Loud Whistle From 94 Carburetor

I've got a nice rebuilt 94 carb on my '52 Customline, borrowed from my brother till I rebuild mine. Had it on before and it worked great, gave it back to him to try and determine some problems he was having on his '41 PU. Now I've got it back and it has the loudest whistle you can imagine. I'm...

    '52 Customline Windshield Remeoval

Does anyone have a safe process for removal of the windshield on a 52 Customline? I have found one locally, it has the chrome trim, which I'm not going to replace. Is the best process to cut the rubber from the inside to gain removal?

'52 3 Speed Manual Extension Tube Bushing Installation

Well I got the seal and bushing out of my '52 Customline. Bushing should be here Thursday, looking at the installation, how far into the tube should it be installed? I assumed there would be a shoulder to stop it at its' finished location, but I do not detect any. bbrocksr gave me a "tool" to...

    Transmission Extension Tube Removal

Finally found someone that knows exactly what I'm up against. Been trying to make all understand, the existing seal is entirely more substantial than todays replacement seal. I'm thinking my only move is to pull the transmission and take it to a ****** shop and have the seal changed out...
