I have a 37 pickup ½ ton. There is a dashboard trim piece the length of the dash that goes over the windshield gear assembly. The trim piece has holes in it (does not look threaded) and the windshield frame has holes that align with the trim piece. Does anyone know how these holes where attached...
Guys
Thanks for the replies. I finally figured this out late today with help from a guy that knows these 3 speed trannys. The Forks where in the wrong position.
I have a 1937 1/2 ton pickup that I purchased and never saw the truck move but I was told it ran fine. It has a 1952 Flat head and the transmission seems original and I looked it up and it is a 1936 serial number. In my process to restore the trucks chassis, I removed the motor and transmission...
I checked my 37 windshield. The window cranks out for ventilation at the bottom. The top is held by the two hinges as you mention. The only other thing that holds the frame and glass is the window cranks two arms. It has two arms that connect to two points on the lower part of the windshield...
The metal seat base in my 1937 1/2 ton Pickup is shot. Looking to buy one. If you have one for sale or know of a company that sells these please let me know. FYI have not found any companies yet that sell these. Thanks Tom
Thanks everyone. I don't think the front fenders are original 37 fenders. To me they look like 35 or 36 pickup fenders and they cut the insert out for the Bumper bracket. I'll get this truck back to stock. Thanks !!
yes the brace is attached to the frame. I looked at trying to move that up, to move up the fender up a little but could not move it up with out getting every thing out of whack.
I uploaded some pictures. The truck is all original. Front end should be original. The past owner put steel wheels on the truck. The spring in the front to me seems fine? I saw another 37 that the spring arch seemed to be the same. You mention 7" in the arch, what's the best way to get a good...
Need some suggestions for my 37 1/2 ton Pickup. The front tires just rub the top center of the fenders when turning out. If I could lift the front end just a inch or two that would do the trick. The front spring looks okay and has no broken leaves and I don't want to mess with that spring:). My...
Putting my Transmission back on my 37 pickup. What grease should I use for the area where the drive shaft and transmission connect? The universal joint area. I am guessing NON -Disk Brake wheel bearing grease is good?
Thanks
Tom
I have a 37 pickup and my doors were on for a Loooong time. I got the pin remover tool from Drake (about $25.00) and that worked great. No heat, just oiled them for a week before I tried.
I have a 37 Ford Pickup and need to remove the Steering column. My question is there is a collar where the steering column shaft goes down into the steering box. I have loosed the collar and unbolted the column shaft under the dash board. Do I just PULL the shaft out of the steering box? or is...
