    1960 Galaxie Clutch Linkage

After a year of collecting parts and disassembling I am preparing to go back together. I was able to find the correct 1960 clutch linkage and pedals. I'm in the process of installing a Borgeson power steering box and modifying the column. As you can imagine the front end needs a rebuild and I...

    1960 Galaxie Clutch Linkage

I have found 3 donors all wagons. I will have to catch the guy open and see what he has. I doubt if many wagons were ordered with a manual transmission but maybe I will get lucky.

    1960 Galaxie Clutch Linkage

I have a '60 full size Ford with a 352 that I want to convert from an automatic to a standard. Does anyone know what years of Fords share the same clutch pedals and the associated linkage so I know what to look for in the salvage yards? I'm assuming '60 to '64.

    '52 F-1 Engine Swap

The Coke was bottled in Marshfield, Missouri and the date on the side was 54 as was the date on the RC.

    '52 F-1 Engine Swap

I guess a little more info is needed here. This was a "barn find" truck. It's been around Marshfield, Missouri all it's life. It appears it was well used but not abused. I have already installed the front spring bushings, had the king pins replaced, I had the steering box rebuilt, and I am...

    '52 F-1 Engine Swap

I pulled it from my '56 Fairlane to put in a 312. It was a factory 4 barrel car and I just assumed it was a 292. I've had numerous flatheads in my life and I like them but I plan on using this old truck like a truck and maybe pulling a trailer and the flathead that came out of it was worn slam...

    '52 F-1 Engine Swap

I am getting ready to install a 292 from a '56 Fairlane in my '52 F-1. I have procured the truck front cover, a Hurst style front engine mount from Millworks, a Y-block to Ford 3 speed adapter and a Y-block truck rear sump oil pan & oil pickup tube and screen. Except for exhaust isn't that the...

    Frame rot 1956

I have always thought the primary reason for the angled "guard" would be to deflect the frame up and over something instead of just ramming into it.

    Top loader question

    Thanks, doesn't sound too complicated.

    Top loader question

I currently have a "56 Fairlane with a 3 speed overdrive transmission. I want to replace it with a top loader 4 speed I have with the small input shaft. Am I correct in thinking it will bolt up to my bellhousing? The top loader has 8 mounting holes. I will be using it with Thunderbird bucket...

    55 Fairlane New member/barn find

Well, some of those factory welds back then weren't too pretty but at least you have a good cross member. Yep, that skid plate was there originally . I guess it is there so whatever you hit it will jump over and get the oil pan!

    55 Fairlane New member/barn find

Check to see if the front cross member is rusted out. It's a very common problem with these cars. If it is bad you might as well tackle that first.

Is anyone re-producing the 56 Fairlane front cross member

I also saw the cross member on e-bay. Even if it was the right one it seems a little high priced. Yes, Gary Goodell has passed on and I think they have ceased operations. I looked at Fatman's frame on his website and the front cross member doesn't look original. In part I think because they...

Is anyone re-producing the 56 Fairlane front cross member

I have searched the forum, checked e-bay and the internet and can't find anyone who is re-producing the '56 Ford front cross member. Apparently Goodell Fabrications in Coweta, Ok. is out of business. Is there no one else making these?

    '39 Deluxe Headlight Wires

Here is the backside, it is flipped from the first image but with everything lettered and numbered the same. In this picture the "at rest" or off position would be under A1 & 2 and if turning the switch to the left turned on the headlights in this picture it would be to the right, and in either...
