Jim, I checked the valve lash and set everything to .016". ran a little better but still very rough.

I have a 272 that was running great until I made a stupid mistake and mounted a valve cover upside down( after new gasket install) Started up and realized the rockers were hitting the cover. I dropped a push rod. I got the push rod back in place and adjusted the valve lash. Now I have backfire...

Did any of 57-60 F100 1/2 ton trucks come with the 8" rear end? I think they only had the 9" or a Dana rear? This is from a 57 f100. thanks
