My 1947 Ford with a 59AB flathead running a mild cam, I have Red's Headers with 2 inch pipe and small Walker glass packs. Then to give it a nice sound I had larger pipe put on right after the rear axle as exhaust tips. It gives the flathead a nice rumble sound.

Another place that you can try is Midwest Cylinder Head in Nevada Iowa. They are owned by Arnold Motor Supply and if you can find a Arnold Motor Supply near you they can transport it there for you. They specialize in repairing cracks in engines. The number for them is 515-382-2791.

8BA Ford Flathead Engine $1500.00 Engine came out of an old firetruck. It appears to have low hours since being reconditioned by Universal Mfg. Co. of Algona Iowa. The old decal is still on the block. Universal Mfg. Co. was and still may be a Ford authorized reconditioning company...

Yeah my car is 12 volt, but I am still using a generator. The antenna on the back was for a cb that I used to have in the car. I am also trying to keep the car period correct as possible and safe to drive.

This is my 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Fordor. I have had since 2007 and I never thought it was ugly. It has a built 59AB flathead in it. This is a picture of it from a few years ago. The wheels are now light gray instead of red.

When I rebuilt my flathead I also had stuff in the oil holes of my merc crank. I even had mine tanked. I used about 2 cans of brake clean to clean them out.
