    good question?

All I can tell you from personal experience is that synthetic will find a leak even when nothing else can.

    The Mighty Wiper

The vacuum resevoir is nothing but a tin can, thicker metal that food cans, and a "T" arrangement that stores vacuum for use under low vacuum conditions. Ford put one on a '91 Ranger I had that would loose heater/defroster control when you mashed on the gas. Resevoir could be found in a larger...

    The Mighty Wiper

I purchased one of the "mighty wiper" units and had nothing but trouble with it. My recomendation is don't waste your money The unit has weak gearing and the wiper arm will blow out of time and jam at the end of it's stroke. Tried everything I could think of to fix it, to no avail. It is also...

    94 accel pump linkage

As far as I know all "94s" have a flat blade on the acc. pump plunger. The round rod is part of the acc.pump linkage. For your information I've been driving, building and racing flatheads for almost 51 years. All carburated with holly "94s".

    94 accel pump linkage

What kind of a "94" has a round accelerator pump rod ? A Stromberg "94" by any chance???

    94 accel pump linkage

There must be a spring on the accelerator pump piston on the "94" carb for it to function. However which spring can be a problem. The stock springs ,in my experience, are a little too weak to properly work with the new rubber piston seal cups. They cause a lag in the pump function when first...

    carbs

For the "94" I still like NAPA's best, but don"t use the 7.5 power valve that comes in their kit unless you're sure you really need that high of vacuum number.

    Model T puller

Sorry cannot send picture because of no digital camera and not knowledge of finer points of computers. I must guess that it's not a hub puller because a 1" slot will not go over any model A hub I've ever seen ant the reach of 1 3/8" is too short. Could it be a generator drive gear puller...

    Model T puller

Can anyone tell me what a cast iron puller with KMODET over T204 cast on the side of it pulled. The body is 2 1/4" in dia. with one side left open to receive whatever is being pulled. Bottom has a one inch open slot to receive whatever is being removed from larger part above. Top is a solid hub...

    model T puller

Can anyone tell me what a cast iron puller pulls? I have had it for years now as a mystery item? It consits of a round cart iron body 2 1/4" in dia.,two inches high with one side open for inserting item to be removed. The bottem has a 1" round slot for inserting the pin or whatever to be...

    The Police!

Back in '63 I believe the year was, I had my AV8 at a bodyman friend's shop that was about a 1/2 mile out of town on a little used back road. The car had just received some priming and sheetmetal work and I had to bring it back into town to do more mechanical work before he could finish the...

finding a better transmission for a 36 woodie

If the trans. is correctly rebuilt with the later helical tooth gears, and synkros., it should make almost no noise in 2nd and 3rd. If I were you I'd find a friend that knows the trans. and it's workings and go through the one you have yourself. There is Mac's book that will help get you...

    Red fuel line

How about some of the stainless steel braided brake lines that are out there ? Ever see anything that says they are D.O.T. legal?

    Sweating carb base?

Warm day, high humidity, run engine for a period of time and the expanding fuel/air mixture will pull heat out of the carb. base the same way an airconditioner works. If the ambient air temp. is lower the carb. can ice inside the throats. The heat riser passage, in the intake , could be not...

    '32 clutch release lever??

If you have not found a suitable lever e-mail me ,tsoseman@iowatelecom.net, and I will send you one for the shipping. I will send you specks as this lever is on a '36 case but it came out of a hot rodded '32 coupe, and from the looks of the pins holding the assy. together it has been changed.
