I was checking some extra wheels and measured the runout in the rim. It all three were between .0090 and .0100 lateral variance. Does anyone know what is usable?

Has anyone successfully tested a cutout or replacement voltage regulator on a generator? All I have for test equipment is a digital VOM.

I too am working on a 20 Touring. There were no blocks between the body and frame.

I was told many years ago to turn the engine over without spark plugs to insure you have oil pressure.

Speak to the young man involved. Discuss not only the clutch but double clutching, the proper use of the spark advance, when it should be up, down, part way etc., proper use of the GAV and choke. What to do if it dies in traffic. In otherwords scare the pants off of him. Then suggest that you...

I too have an Autolite. Some heat and some engine compartment vapors. Delightful!!!

I've used synthetics in modern cars and like them but with our fairly broad tolerances in the A the slippery synthetics might slide right through.
