I had the same problem with my 34 and found a sleeve at a bearing store the correct diameter and had a machinist grind down the old shaft and press fit the sleeve onto pinion shaft. So far it's working fine. I would make sure to use a Locktite product called bearing mount which will insure that...

How interchangeable are these gears in the turtle? For example can you install an 18 tooth gear in a 21 tooth housing and if so how do you get them apart?
