Hey guys,
We are up here in Minneapolis, MN for the start of this year's Great Race. A fellow competitor urgently needs this driveshaft coupler. He can have a new driveshaft made but needs this 6 spline Model B coupler.
If anyone can help send me an instant message. I will post a number to...
Hi guys. A good friend and I will be competing in The Great Race this June in a 29 Roadster. We have the car pretty much assembled but are in need of a nice set of 28-29 front fenders. Time is running very short so we are hoping to find 2 originals that don't need too much work.
I am located...
Ok this isn't Model A specific, but I know some of you guys have experience with this.
I have a 2wd Silverado 2500 that I tow my 24' enclosed trailer with. It tows great but the truck does squat a bit even with the trailer loaded properly. This year I will be doing 2 cross country trip with a...
Lots of good advice from the others. I would just add to consider the 200-250 miles per day. That may be ambitious if you want to stop and do things along the way. We recently did a 1200 mile trip in our Model A and averaged about 150 miles per day. That gave us plenty of time to explore and...
It looks like I made a rookie mistake. I assumed since this wishbone came off a stock '31 Tudor that this was the late style part. Lesson learned, I should have looked at the judging standards to verify what I had before starting.
So is this an early 28 radius rod?
Thanks guys. That is probably the way I should have gone but was curious to see if I could restore this one.
Here is another question:
After cutting off the old ball, we discovered the ball and shaft are HOLLOW, as is the neck of the wishbone. I thought those parts were forged? The ball...
Hi guys. The only thing left to rebuild on the 30 Coupe is the steering and front axel. I am in the process of repairing the front radius rod because the ball is severely worn. It is just a nub, about 60% of what it should be.
I purchased a replacement ball from one of the good vendors. The...

2024 F. A.S.T. Southeast Hill Climb. Spindale, NC
I wanted to let everyone know about the upcoming hill climb in Spindale, NC (about halfway between Charlotte and Asheville) next weekend. Looks like we will have good weather and are expecting a good turnout. We will have cars from all over...
Maybe give Bert's Model A Center near Denver a call? I happened to be out there a couple of weeks ago and Steve was nice enough to give me a tour of the place. It is huge and a very impressive selection of OE model A parts.
Rex, after you do all of the stuff others have suggested, make sure you don't have a dragging brake (or two). Possible if the car has been sitting for a while
