A status update for Michael AzBob and Terry: I tried to adjust with the slotted screw in small increments today with no success unfortunately. When I took the cover off the tip of screw was tightly in contact with the plate below it and held in that position tightly by the nut on screw...
Thanks for the quick response and insights Michael, AzBob, and Terry, I have not tried to adjust. I will give that a try with very small adjustments and report back.
Thanks again.
Ford Barn members,
I would appreciate your help to locate someone who works on returning '35 horns to working order. Mine quit working this spring and I only get a little "honk" after many attempts occasionally. I am looking for someone to diagnose the issue, repair, and allow me to have a...
I echo the thanks, great input. I was not aware of this risk until I experienced it up close and personal. Great others can learn without the smoke, etc. involved.
Thank you for the additional input. I plan to pursue disconnecting the wire to the lighter as confirmed by Ford38. I located the knob on Carpenter website. The melted knob came from Dennis a number of years ago. Thanks for the kind words about the '35, my Dad and I restored it, first National...
A follow-up: thanks for making the pics large, need to learn how to do that Pete. For my question on the electrical system, I plan to disconnect the wire to cigar lighter from the stud on fuse/termination board and thus no longer power the lighter. Any other suggestions on that question? Thanks
Ford Barn members,

After running the engine just over 10 minutes at or slightly above idle to mix up the new coolant, I noticed the amp gauge was...
Thank you Zeke. Appears that these strips are for another model as too short for a '37.
Does anyone else have some insight on which year these 59"L x 1"H running board strips are for? Thanks much.
Ford Barn,
We discovered during '35 Tudor Touring Sedan restoration that my running board trim strips (mouldings) were not for a '35. I had them polished before figured that out.
I would appreciate input on if the strips, which are 59" long and 1" in height, are these for a '37?
Many thanks...
Thank you for the input, Alchemy I appreciate the thread which I read through. I'm starting from clean with a new seal and yes, rear bearings so no taper. I am considering TIMKEN GR224TUB Grease which is "premium hi-temp red" per the container on Amazon. I would welcome any other thoughts...
