Hot engine: Cannot start without choke

Have you checked your plugs? It could be running a little lean...causing it to need a little fuel to fire.

    30 coupe wood header

Thanks TinCup, I plan on leaving mine unrestored for now. I could use some seat covers...if you still have your old ones, would you be interested in selling them? They would sure be a big improvement over the ones in my car. Thank you for the pics. Stan/Mo.

Can I sit in your car?

I obviously don't have a problem with anyone standing on or setting in my coupe...but I have a story that is related to to this thread. I have a 1948 H-D panhead that I bought from the original owner 35 yrs. ago. To give you an idea of the condition of this machine...when I bought it...it had...

    30 coupe wood header

The header in my 30 coupe is in bad shape. Could I get some advice as to the proper removal of the old header...and the proper installation of a new one. Would also like some input on where the best place is to get one. All responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Stan

He took it apart and the cylinders still had hone marks in em.' So we checked all the clearances, and they were...

    Interesting video

I'm sorry I watched it again and I must have blinked, because I didn't see it the first time, but he did put his toe on the starter button. Those things happen when you get old.

    Interesting video

Neat video.....Did you notice when the dealer was showing him how to start the car, when he told him to step on the starter button, it showed him pushing on the accelerator? Just wondering if you caught that. Like I said, Neat video.
