    Emergency Brake Springs Location?

Randy, Sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. From our phone conversations it was apparent that you guys took a tremendous amount of pride in your products and service. I'm sure you will do your Dad proud by continuing his passion for Model A's and their owners. GOD bless you and your family...

    Emergency Brake Springs Location?

Oh I know what you mean. It was a chilly 78 degrees today! Maybe tomorrow it'll warm up a bit! Ha! I grew up in New Jersey and remember the cold winters. (not as cold as Minnesota but cold). I had a friend run base board heat into the garages so I can work on the cars when I was done shoveling...

    Emergency Brake Springs Location?

Tom, the carriers were reversed which caused the bands to be in the wrong position and no place to attach the lower small spring. Once I reversed the carriers (only the carriers) everything is fitting together properly. Thanks for the heads up on the proper install of the bands to the carriers...

    Emergency Brake Springs Location?

Well, I found out what my problem was! Someone in the past reversed the e-brake band carriers putting the left one on the right and the right on the left. Being in the incorrect positions located the bands incorrectly and didn't allow the springs to be properly attached. In other words the whole...

    Emergency Brake Springs Location?

Rusty, thanks for the photo. It's exactly what I need. I'll check what I have going on with my car and then will do what I have to do to make them look like the photo. Thanks!

    Emergency Brake Springs Location?

I am having difficulty determining where the small springs that hold the e-brake band in place. I'm assuming the spring for upper part of the band attaches to the small tab with a hole in it over to the vent hole on the e-brake band carrier. It seems to fit and pull the band back in place. It's...

    T5 Transmission Question

I've tried and tried to find some info concerning pitting a T5 transmission in a Model A. Can someone direct me to a past thread or better yet provide any experience with a T5 in their Model A? Thanks.

Removing Built Up Wax From Body Seams?

I did. I used Meguiar's Black Paste Wax. Although it's not really black in color, more like a gray it sure does look better then the old dry white wax that was it here. Thanks!

Removing Built Up Wax From Body Seams?

After trying a toothbrush I landed up getting the best results with a q-tip and Ivory Liquid dish soap. I found that the toothbrush was lightly scratching the surrounding area even though the brush was a super soft sensitive type. What didn't come off with the q-tip I carefully used the point of...

Removing Built Up Wax From Body Seams?

My '29 Tudor has an older black paint job that has lots of dried white wax built up in the body seams. I want to remove it without using a wheel, preferring to do it by hand. I searched here, you tube and other car sites without success as to what to use to remove the dried wax. Could something...

    Afraid to post barners...

Whenever I post I post questions. I'm new with Model A's but not with old cars and restorations. I've been around 'old' cars for 50 years and if there's one thing I've learned it is not necessary to try and reinvent the wheel. I've learned that no matter what it is I'm doing someone else has...

    Frozen Shocks

Awesome! I'll send them out to John Holland when I'm ready to take care of them. And thanks for the shipping tip about using a USPS flat rate box.

    Frozen Shocks

OK, so my chances of finding any good shocks from the 4 I have are as they say 'slim to none'. I think I'll just let them sit in storage on the shelf in the cabinet and I'll get on with my car's brakes. I've been driving my car without shocks for a while so I will continue to do so, until I send...

    Frozen Shocks

I was unaware that re-builders want them intact. Thanks for bringing that point up. I only have 4 shocks and with what I read chances are good that half of them are trash. So I'll have to round up more to get another 2 good ones, assuming of the 4 I have some will be bad, if not all 4. Gulp...
