You have taken on another challenge watched all your videos that you put out and learned alot of stuff along the way. Keep making them and I'll keep watching. It's cool to see someone trying to keep the old cars going
+1 on V8COOPMANS feelings after watching both, more so Marts work, Mart goes as far as showing you how to get a broken bolt out of a block to starting with a bare frame. Haven't missed a week yet since he started doing his videos. I'm happy my massive honey do list is about caught up so I can...
Haven't posted in a long time but still watch your weekly video. Haven't had much spare time to work on mine but can spare an hour to watch you. It's cool that you got thT engine running again I hope I can perform that kind of magic. Keep posting and I will keep watching thanks Mart for all...
My 38 1.5 ton has a banjo rear with a closed torque tube and parallel springs. Unsure of a drain hole it's under the cab as I am mid stride of rebuilding the trans and engine. Might be a big truck. It has steady rods on it from the rear end to the torque tube.
Be careful I know on my 1.5 ton the pains of getting that lug nut to spin. I got the remnants of the stud and lug nut when I put the pipe and wrench to one of them. I would go with the try and tighten a hair loosen a hair I had to do that the first time mine came off.
On the left hand side of the trans tower I have a D.G.&M stamped into the metal. Was curious as to what that stood for. Also has a BB-22 91... after the 91 the rust has destroyed
Matches the trans from my 1.5 ton 38 but on them the trans mounts through the 2nd crossmember. It does not have feet on the mount it's a 4 or 6 bolt flange mount. The pto on the truck has a lever to engage it in the trans, then it had another lever that must have been able to engage the...
Pretty sure I used a 1/2" or 9/16" deep socket with an extension on it gave them a little love, mine were frozen in both valves and guides, and about 8 hrs later I had all the valves and guides out. I could not get the guides to come down with the pickle fork.
The idea is to tax you not to use it but on a 40 mpg bike I think I get better mileage than a train. But anyways it's a crazy system nationwide government wants their money. At least the feds havent taken it over.
Just think if you lived in lower New York they would charge you a commuter tax for use of the trains to get to the city. That one kills me when I register the motorcycle.
Still watching still waiting to hear it fire up either Sat morning or Sun morning drink my coffee and watch Mart videos. If my 3 yr old gets up early he ask to watch you too. He helped me take my 8ba down to a bare block. It looks good cant wait for the run day video. Haven't figured out how...
Put twist ties on the old fashion snap traps with the metal tang. They won't clean them off anymore. Coworker taught me that one has a very low fail rate.
I have a 38 ford 1.5 ton gear box and tower that I'm rehabbing problem I have is not being able to move the shift forks due to rust on the slides but not exactly sure if there is something else I'm missing. Been soaking them with oil giving them some love taps now and then. Not seeing any...
