"lil red" 1965 Mercury Comet Caliente

Love it. I’ve had 3 65’s over the years back in the day. I had both a Calante and a Cyclone. Am I wrong or is this a Caliente with a Cycone interior? I’m not criticizing just relating my experience.

    Yblock Intake: ECZ-9425-B

It’s a perfect fit. Go with a 400-500 cfm vacuum secondary carb. I have done this on a couple of occasions. Makes a great running 292.

My understanding is that Ted is working on fixing it. Hope he’s successful.

    1957 Ford Fairlane 500 exhaust

To answer the original question, all factory 312 full size cars had dual exhaust tailpipes were right at the edge of rear fenders. 292’shad single exhaust Tailpipe was about a foot or so inside the rear fender. When dual exhaust were added to a 292 the tailpipes were much closer together than...

What color are valve covers for 1957 292?

Correct, if you really want to dress it up go with the T Bird cast aluminium valve covers. The most beautiful factory valve covers ever made in my opinion.

Anti Theft Devices You Can Install

I installed an electric fuel pump in my 57 T Bird by the gas tank. I then hid the on off switch. Then I removed the guts from the fuel part of the mechanical fuel pump and left the vacuum pump part for the wipers in place. The factory pump is just a pass through for the electric pump. I turn off...

    Dual Point conversion kit

The Ford factory Hi Po dual point distributor parts can be installed in the 57 and up distributors fairly easily. Done it myself. Personaly would go with the Petrronix as I have done and keep the points and condenser in the glove box just in case.

    64 1/2 Mustang catpet

The 64 1/2 and early 65 Mustangs had carpet that only went to the bottom of the inner rocker panel. Later ones had the carpet extend up the inner rocker and under the aluminum sill plate. The early ones had a piece of vynil glued to the inner rocker pane. I have an early 65 with the 64 1/2...

65 Shelby Mustang Hood Prop Instalation

This photo shows the prop installed to the right of the hood pin. The previous photos show it to the left of the hood pin. I'm thinking that since these were prety much hand built bot could be as built by Shelby.

    1963 Hotrodding The Ford V8

The Handbook only went to the 406 because the 427 didn't come out until mid year when the 63 1/2 Fastbacks came out early fastbacks had the 406.

65 Shelby Mustang Hood Prop Instalation

Thats the best picture I've found so for but would be nice to get measurements from top of radiator support down to the centerline of the hole and from the inside edge of the fender to the centerline of the hole. I have the rod, washer, and cotter key. In thinking about this a little further...

65 Shelby Mustang Hood Prop Instalation

I would appreciate it if you can find that.

65 Shelby Mustang Hood Prop Instalation

I have all the parts. Need to know where the hood prop rod mounts on the radiator support. I've seen the location stated as on the drivers side and the passangers side. Just takes one hole. Just need to know where. Photo and or measurements.
