    Tudor Inner Fender Help

Update. Hate to revive such an old thread but… All of the big supply houses are still out of stock but I found them! Ahooga Parts is the one that manufactures them and he has them in stock. Unfortunately, his website doesn’t come up on a search for the panels. He has the tooling for...

    Inner Front Spindle Bearings ???

Thanks for the info. Yes, these are ‘32 spindles. I was able to clean them up and the bearings now slide on. I will be sure to thoroughly clean everything before assembly. They still need paint and I am pretty meticulous about prep. So the seals are the cups built into the spindles...

    Inner Front Spindle Bearings ???

Hi There, This may seem simple but... This is my first time assembling a front end. The spindles I have are new to me and have been cleaned up but are still 90+ years old. Do I grease up the spindle before sliding the bearing on? Do I clean it up with some scotchbrite?

31 Tudor Body Mount Bolt Locations

I got them all out. (I used a Crows Foot wrench to get to the seat nuts, I always wondered when I would need one of those...) I jacked up the body under the cross members and wacked on the frame with a big rubber mallet. It popped loose on one side then the other. Thanks for the help!

31 Tudor Body Mount Bolt Locations

I need help. I have Googled and searched here but I have not found what I am looking for. I am trying to remove my '31 Tudor body from the frame. This is what I have removed so far: Bolts at the front of the cowl, one each side. The nots on the pair of carriage bolts on each side of the...

What Gaguge Steel for Fender Wells

I have to repair the rust on my inner fender wells on my 31 Tudor. What gauge steel have you used to do that? I was thinking 18ga but maybe 20ga to make it easier. This isn't a pure restoration, more to cut out the rust and make the car usable. Thanks,

    Painting an Engine

This may seem like a basic question but its coming out of an abundance of caution on my part. I am having a '51 Mercury flathead built and it is currently almost done. Watching several videos on YouTube many folks recommend going over your block with a propane/MAP torch and heating it up...

What did you do today that was flathead V8 related?

Thanks for the info on repairing the mount area. I was just mulling over the best way to approach a fix. You method sounds really doable for me. It is an Edmunds intake.

What did you do today that was flathead V8 related?

I picked up an intake and some carbs and checked on my engine build. This is my first flathead going in an AV8 '31 Tudor. The engine is a Mercury EAC. It had never been rebuilt and was rather clean. Ended up .030" over on the bore.

36 Ford Transmission to Mercury EAC V8

I have heard bad things about Speedway stuff. Centerforce sounds good.

36 Ford Transmission to Mercury EAC V8

What clutch setup are folks recommending and running? This will be a fairly stock engine build. It will have a Max 1 cam and maybe dual carbs with headers so nothing gnarly about it. Just looking for a comfortable cruiser.

36 Ford Transmission to Mercury EAC V8

Hey All, What parts am I going to need to mount a 36 Ford Truck transmission to a Mercury EAC Engine? Are the truck transmissions any different than the passenger cars that year? Thanks,

    Tudor Inner Fender Help

Not much new to report. All of my lines on replacement inner fenders have turned out to be scams. Sigh. What is it with people? I did get brave enough to cut out some rusty metal. I also created an access hole so I could get a dolly behind the fender. I started to move some metal to fix...
