Any recommendations on a place to take my 41 Ford Super Deluxe convertible with a flat head? It needs to have seals replaced at a minimum and want someone who can tell what it needs so I can get it running well (and so it stops overheating). I live in Western Wisconsin (in La Crosse). Thanks...
Thanks for all the great advice! I think I'm going to attempt to sort out the bypass filter first and go from there. I'll let you know how that worked (or be back for advice on that bypass filter).
As this is my first early Ford, I'm learning a lot and appreciate the support. It's...
I'm 46 and just learning....I'm capable doing some work myself, but probably not this. There is no Flathead expert I'm aware of in my area (La Crosse, Wisconsin). I have no idea what a rope seal is...I'm going to Google that now! Thanks!

It leaves quarter-sized spots up and down the drive when I've pulled in or out and I put a pan under it to catch the drips. I am pretty sure the seal is leaking (the head gaskets were just replaced). There are also leaks from the bypass filter canister too and it's tough to quantify how much...

Has anyone seen this type of setup before or is it a 1-off retrofit...
Thanks for the tips, Alan. I wondered if it might be better to go back to copper. I think the previous owner was probably trying to save some money. I have no idea what the temp is other than "H"... My plan regardless is to get 2 new temp gauges so I can see just how hot each side is getting.
Here's a pic of my 1941 Super Deluxe convertible on a hot summer's day with stop and go driving. Clearly she doesn't like it. Any suggestions of what to do to keep her cooler? There's a big aluminum radiator and I just had water pumps replaced. Wondering if an electric fan might be the way...
