    1926 model T Roadster

Up for sale is my 1926 T Roadster. I’ve owned it for 6 years. Runs great. Has a recent rebuilt engine and transmission with Scat crank, new tires and tubes, new carburetor, Ruckstell 2 speed, juice brakes, gas tank and radiator cleaned. Interior is in good condition. Older Paint is fair, has...

Make a model T a little more safe

Common knowledge in tractors and earthmovers may apply here. If your vehicle has a roll over protection system you need to be belted in but if your vehicle is open with no ROPS you do not want to be belted in so you can jump free in the event of a roll over. I drive a Roadster and in the event...

    Low to High Gear

I’ve noticed not everyone will back off the power when engaging high gear. You should. Also believe it or not I changed from generic to Valvoline oil and it made the the clutch smoother.

    Thanksgiving week T project work...

We are getting snow. Doesn’t happen very often here any more so I took the T out for a while. The windshield defroster isn’t working too good and it is a little cold but a nice ride anyway.

    Thanksgiving week T project work...

Yep. Raining today and tomorrow. Calling for a little snow but I doubt it. Being an open car I guess a coat is in order.

    Thanksgiving week T project work...

I like driving my T around the holidays. I took it out the other day and the engine would not shut off when I turned the key off. (Distributor & no mag) l killed the engine with clutch and looked around for the problem with no luck. I turned the key on and the amp. gauge did not move. I touched...

    Model A intake on a Model T

When I first got my 26 Roadster it had an A intake and carb. And I hated it. I constantly pulling and cleaning plugs. It also had 14mm plugs and I changed them to the OEM plugs but they too would fowl in no time. I finally collected enough parts to put the T intake back on and I’m a lot happier...

    Rewooding '24 = Frustration

Yep. Years ago a friend and I rewooded my 19 touring by hand using old pieces as a guide. We had basic wood tools and had a great time doing it. For example, for the corner piece of the back of the seat ( right behind the drivers left shoulder ) has two radius. One curving from side to back and...

    Schrader valve stems

I ordered tubes not long ago that had this very kind of valve stem. They were available everywhere.

    Keeping a Model T running

I would tend to agree. I have both, an A and T, and my T is my go to car. The A is more, oh, modern. It drives more like a modern car. The T is indeed slower but if you do not push it to go faster than it’s made to it is very dependable. The T is still a kick to drive even after all these years...

Model T steering goes over center?

This happened once when I was driving my dads T as a kid. I was in a turn and turned the wheel a little too hard after I was full turn. Then turning the wheel left the car went right. Dad just turned the steering wheel the other way and overcentered it back into position. I recently rebuilt my...

UHaul open car hauler for a Model T?

I used a u-haul car trailer to get my 26 Roadster and later on my 31 sport coupe home. Both were 1 1/2 hours away. No problems. Worked great. I toke the freeways but I kept the speed down to about 55. Being an open car I had to take the seat bottom out and put it in my truck.
