    Cylencar Head Storage

Is there a wrong way to store a cylinder head? I have an extra that is in good shape and I don't want it to warp. I'm thinking I could put it in a cabinet laying flat and all should be good. Any suggestions?

    steering box leak advice needed

I had a small leak and found by putting STP with the 600w it helped. I would suspect sitting that long the gasket had dried out. New lubricant may in time soften the gasket(s) and slow the drip.

    Mike's Afordable Grandfathers Day

Looks like a light turn out. Mike said if the traffic was low it could be the last one. In the past there have been so many cars if you were late you couldn't get on the lot an parked around the top. I couldn't make it this year.

I just purchased one at Tractor Supply (Group 1) for $79.99. Was the best price locally in south metro GA.

    12V Conversion

Thanks guys I bought a 6V battery at Tractor Supply and will stay stock. CRAIG I do have the LED tail lights and agree they are needed. I often talk about the 6/21 car show you took us to when in AK. Looking into Quartz 6v Headlight system. TOM also checking on the scope and hood mount...

    12V Conversion

To my surprise I found Auto Zone & Advance had dropped the 6V battery. NAPA and Tractor Supply still have them but about $90. I am not having problems with my 6V system and have fought my comrades using 12V. Driving at night still is my problem. I use Quartz bulbs but spotting those pesky...

Turn signal and tail light problem

If you are using the LED replacements you can cut the jump wire. This will separate the upped and lower sections. I prefer to have the wire cut for my car but many do not. You should tape or cap the wire ends as I think it would be a loose hot wire looking to cause a problem.

    12V Conversion

My 6V battery has gone bad. Checking on a replacement I am finding some of the suppliers are dropping the item and when available the price keeps going up. Soo I'm thinking about converting to 12V. I'm not unhappy with the 6V system but traveling a lot if a replacement battery is needed the...

    Power

Don't think it's back pressure issue. The both have a 5.5 comp head. I know all about spark advance and timing, I drove from Atlanta to the Arctic Circle. The new engine was built 30 years ago and placed in storage. I put the 5.5 head on prior to droppong it in, don't think it's just tight...

    Power

Please give me some sdvice. I put a new motor in my coupe and it just doesn't have the power I had in my old engine. I have about 5K miles on this enging. I can tour fine and run 45/50. The issue is acceleration, I have changed the carb and been thru the distributor. Wondering if I have a...

    Mitchel Overdrive

A friend and I will soon be starting the rebirth of an A400. It will have a touring motor (insert bearings,B Cam) standard "A" trans but we need some input for the differential. If we use a Mitchell Overdrive, or any other, what rear gear should we use? Thinking the 3:54 gears but not clear...

    grundy alert

In 2011 we drove from GA to AK (11,609 miles) and State Farm stood behind us strongly. My agent gave me a letter if needed for Canada and to assure I had full coverage during the entire trip. That was all part of my standard coverage. I have a few friends that have had accidents and State...

    Aries S/S Muffler

I drove from Atlanta to Alaska and back (11,609 miles) last June/July. The bumping shaking etc. on the Alcan Hwy wore it out. I'm now looking for a more permenant fix. I probably won't be driving again in those conditions for awhile and am not concerned with total accuracy just so it looks...
