I put a little penetrating oil in the wicks on the linkage shaft. That loosened up the linkage so that the accelerator moves freely. Thanks for the help.

My accelerator button is stuck almost at the floorboard, so the engine races. I shut it down immediately. The linkage seems to be OK - no broken springs or links. I can free the button to the "up" position with a screwdriver. Is WD-40 on the linkage and springs all that is required? That...
