where is the best place to get a new poppet with mine failed yesterday

I have been trying to figure out when ford changed from nickel plating to chrome plating and other little things on model a's but I'm not sure where to look I was told that it was listed in publications but they weren't sure which one.

My buddy has a 26 t coupe with a cowl fuel tank. his tank is messed up and he had it cleaned but the only thing they cleaned out was his wallet. does anyone know where we can find a new tank or a really clean original one
