Where does the rubber go on these doors? They don't have any that I can see at present. The doors close tightly. It seems like the door oscillates in the door frame when the roads are not smooth.
The body blocks were purchased new about 5 years ago from Snyder's. It is entirely possible that I have not shimmed the body properly. I will double check the mounting bolts to see if I forgot to tighten any of them. Thanks.
There seems to be a lot of body flex. Is this normal? This is the only Model A I have ever driven or even ridden in. It has been a project for way too long.
The doors on my 31 Tudor seem to be banging against the outer door frame as I drive on less than perfect roads. It is almost like the doors are slightly too small. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and what to do about it?
I used tractor paint from Tractor supply. The Black really shines if you add the hardener. I used a small smooth roller for large areas and a brush to get in tight places.
That sounds about right to me. I have looked it over pretty good and it is not loose at all. It just has a little run out when turning. Probably been that way as long as I have owned it. I will probably see about getting a new one. Thanks for the reply.
Daveymac29 If I understand you correctly the crank will tighten the pulley? It seems tight as I was attempting to turn the engine and finally realized I still had it in gear. There was no noticeable slack when I was trying to crank it over. I took it out of gear and proceeded with the timing...
Appears to be a two piece. Doesn't seem to be loose in any way. I have a feeling it has been this way for a long time. I was timing the engine and noticed it today. I looked at some you tube videos of running Model A engines and some of them had the same wobble. The ones that had just been...
Years ago there was a guy that had one painted in Oklahoma University colors that drove it to Dallas every year for the Texas/OU football game at the Cotton Bowl. I thought it looked good and I was from Texas.
My fan will not attract a magnet. I had thought of this but I also was not sure what the original fans were made of. Some things you assume are ferrous turn out not to be. Thanks for reply.
