    7 tooth steering box question

Hey Rich, (and everyone else) problem solved! Huge apologies to you Rich...you were right. The plate HAD been mounted backward by the previous owner and I was locked on to that. I had looked at flipping it but it didn't look possible the way the casting was. After you're post I went and actually...

    7 tooth steering box question

Thanks rich, but that won't work. Bolt holes don't line up when rotated and can't flip because of the way it's cast. This is why I'm puzzled. If I can figure out how to post pics, I will. Anybody else? Johnny

    7 tooth steering box question

Hi folks, I have a steering box question. I'm also curious about the 30 degrees advance. I've been reading where 30 degree advance might be the cause of crankshaft breakage, and keeping the advance to 25 degrees or less works better on many levels. Your thoughts on why 30 degrees would be appreciated. Thanks, Johnny The sight looks...

Painted Beauty Rings, What do These Fit??

Are they rubber? If so, I believe they are an aftermarket whitewalls that are mounted with the tire. (held in between tire bead and rim) When I got my '49 Tudor it had a set on the 16". I think you can still get them. If they aren't rubber, I have no idea.

Back from a 9 day tour of New Mexico and Colorado

I lived in Taos for 35 years before coming to the west coast and still love that country. My 49 Tudor, which i drove to Cali 4 years ago, came from Raton. I've driven those roads a ton and this is my favorite time of the year. Great to see your pics, made me miss it. Glad you had a good trip...
