    Choke Rod Sleeve,Very Early-Beginning through January 1928

These were duplicated from my original one by a Aircraft Machinest, he even used a special drill to make the ID correct. There is no seam on the sleeve. I only have 3 left out of 10. The cost is $28.00 plus $3.50 for shipping any where in the U.S.A. I am not making a thing on these sleeves, just...

    Zenith secondary well

There are 3 types of original secondary removable wells; type 3 is the one to use, it is the one that is being reperduced , it has a recessed grove under the compensation jet so the gas is not obstrucked entering the secondary well. Original compensation jets are very short and use a gasket...

    Radiator Replacement

I replaced my Radiator in my 30 Coupe, got it from the Brass Works; the inlet was not correct, my radiator cap would not fit, I called the Brass works and they would not correct it. I will never purchase anything from them again. When the Brass Works was in Turlock, CA they did excellent work...

Interference between transmission and brake cross-shaft

As said by others, usually interference of the brake cross shaft is caused by frame sag at the motor mounts. When I restored my 30 Coupe I checked the frame before setting the body on and found 1/4 inch sag in the frame on the driver side and 3/16 inch sag on the passenger side at the motor...

    Another question about oil viscosity

I use STP 100 percent in Transmission and 50 percent in rear differential plus 50 percent 600W. The STP is constantly being moved up by the transmission gears and the same action takes place in the differential with the ring gear. I do not use STP in the engine as it all ends up in the bottom...

    engine oil

I hqve used Castoral GTX 20-50 for over35 Years. Change oil between 1500-2000 miles, even though the oil still looks new. Have filter and insert main and rod bearings on 2 of the engines. The reason I started using Casterol GTX 20-50, there was a article in Motor Trend Magazine that rated oil...

Early 21 inch wheel vs later 21 inch wheel

Suggest you refer to the Service Bulletins; you do not want to put AR wheels on "B" drums or "B" wheels on AR drums. Ron

    Early '28 vs Late '28

Restore the "A" as you found it. After it is restored and you decided to have it Judged at a meet, the earlier items would be covered under the 60 day rule. As long as there was nothing wrong with the older part the Assemble Plants were directed to use up old parts before using the new part...

    radiator fan efficiency

I agree with WHM, engines pans are part of the engine cooling system. I also believe you should replace a original 2 blade fan with a new aluminum 2 blade, as the original can rust from the inside where you can not see, and it does not show up if you have the fan magnefluxed. Ron
