    390 Holley on a flathead

I think where the confusion here is is the fact that the vacuum advance for the Load o Matic DOES NOT function like a standard vacuum advance distributor. Yes, you are pulling vacuum like that Holley was designed to do on any other engine/vacuum advance distributor combo but not with the stock...

That's what I was always told too.....unless you're running the original 2 bbl it's not working properly with the Load o matic.

    390 Holley on a flathead

KiWinUS, thank you. It's not really 'Forum friendly' here (although some hear know it from another flathead site as the 'Goofy Jeep' project) and I'd like to stay in good company here we'll just do it this way.....I think this link ought to take you to a writeup explaining what it is and why and...

Mine also cranked and ran 'out of the box'. Should be getting plenty of fuel. Have you checked the float settings?

Route 66 tips - post them here !

And I'd add stay at least one night at the El Rancho like a movie star. On our trip back from Bonneville a couple of years ago we stopped just to take a few pictures. It was 3:00 in the afternoon so I had no intentions of getting off the road that early. Did a little price checking and the...

New "32 Ford" Parts...Where does it end?

I just got a '32 "heavy" back from being dropped and still have less in it than their 'starting price'........just lucky, I guess.

As a long time HAMBer, I find this new FordBarn.....

You haven't noticed posts about the 'old board' vs the 'new' board and how the HAMBers are "suddenly coming over here"? Are you reading all the posts?

As a long time HAMBer, I find this new FordBarn.....

Probably has about as much to do with the format as anything. Maybe the interest was there before but finding the format uncomfortable it wasn't used.....much like some of the 'old Barners' not being comfortable with the 'new' format. It's sad to see the 'us versus them' taking place when...

Who are we still missing ???????

I realize it's being somewhat trivial, but if I was Paul I don't think I'd want to be "a variation"...;) (also, at this point, the registration process could get a little sticky...wouldn't there have to be an 'un-registration' before he could register under that moniker?) As for the...
