    it was my new Rex distributor points with the brass slide on the bottom plate. i switched it out with the old style points. 6 solid volts to the points! back on the road! good call!

    correct It is the water outlet. The water outlet... I received had the two inlet bolts. it sounds like the supplier and myself both were confused. I couldn't find the long studs on Snyders site. Thanks for the correction. This forum is better than any book I've ran across and I have them all!

    I am puting on a new water inlet neck. The stud bolts are about 6'' long. The bolts that came with the inlet are bolts, about 21/2" long. The car is a 1931 fordoor model a. Does anyone know if the long stud bolts were the normal size studs used in the passenger car motors?
