    Radio noise

I am trying to determine the best noise filter to eliminate radio noise coming from my Airtex E8902 electric fuel pump. The Airtex technical support suggested an EBay supplied product called Install Bay 50 amp inline noise filter. My radio repair guy suggested an old style grounding condenser...

    Upholstery

This is just a note to amateur upholsterers like me. The attached photo shows the vinyl at the bottom of my door. The vinyl has swelled in a radiating manner from each panel clip. I have concluded that it is the chemical outgassing of the rust proofing I liberally brushed on the inner door...

    What is this?

JSeery, I think you nailed it, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Wow, what a great resource this Fordbarn forum is. Oh, one more quick question, what is a “can” style coil? Brian

    What is this?

Yes, it runs just fine with all electrical components okay. It’s original 6 volt positive ground. Just want to know what I’ve got.

    What is this?

Thanks for your replies. I took it out and there was in fact no wires attached to it. I took a picture of where those heavy gauge yellow wires go to. They are attached to a brown rectangular terminal block which is screwed onto the backside of the gauge cluster panel. Is this an after market...

    Wiper sweep

Thanks for your suggestions. 1/ I swapped hoses both at the motor and at the on/park switch, no change in rocker arm sweep, only switch control. 2/ The arm from the motor to the wiper pivot is staked onto the pivot shaft, no adjustment! 3/ The fixed problem was a piece of plastic stuck in the...

    Wiper sweep

1947 ford tudor super deluxe. This car is new to me and has had many owners. The wipers did not work, took out the vacuum motor and switch, found the problem and reinstalled. The wipers park in the center! Is this normal? Did I hook up the hoses incorrectly? There seems to be only one way to...

    Seat rebuild

Just uncovered front seat bottom out of my '47 ford tudor sedan. The pictures are front, top and bottom view. How would you begin to repair? Can I assume all springs were originally vertical? Can I also assume the driver and passenger sides are constructed symmetrical? I plan to proceed by...

    Upolstery

Thanks for the replies. I have attached a picture of my door panel. It does not appear to have holes for the armrest except for the 2 screw holes that may have been added. Did this door not have originally come with armrest but were added by a previous owner?

    Upolstery

At this stage I am reupholstering the front door arm rests for my 47 ford 2 door sedan. There are 2 screws on the plate attaching the armrest to the door just below the arm cushion. I think the original upolstery material went straight down from the armrest cushion to the edge of the plate. This...
