I had an old ATI super damper that the hole was worn out in, for a small block chevy. I bored the hole to fit the flathead and used a small block pulley.
I used an ugh, 409 chevy water pump. I wanted the system pressurized with a modern sealed type water pump. Plus I couldn't put the accessories on the owner wanted with twin water pumps. Krylon 32 used to make a setup like this but I adapted it further to incorporate the AC and PS mounts.
I just made one for a friends project. I don't like v belts for street engines. It does help having the machines to make whatever parts you need. This is for a woman and she wanted AC, PS, and and alternator so this is how I configured it.
I initially machined down an HEI to fit the project we are working on. To me it was too gaudy to have that huge head sticking up. So the owner bought a flat cap MSD for a chevy. I machined it to fit and wired it to an HEI module, external. That way if he has any issue with it on a road trip he...
I don't expect much more from this forum. On others if someone needs help I help no matter what their issue or brand of their parts or car. Ive helped others with their holleys that I am more familiar with, numerous times with engine questions. I wasn't asking for secret info or for someone to...
I installed a fixed orifice pcv fitting, .062 draw by each bank. It doesn't have any effect open or capped off so I think that is pretty good. I opened up the idle bleed as mentioned to .021. It is idling good now but seems to still be lean and takes too long to warm up to reach where it will...
They are possibly the same. These are SpeedMaster which was formally ProComp Electronics. As l said it was way too lean so I opened up the bleeds to .021. It doesn't need to be any fatter I don't think. I'm going to add a fixed orifice pcv system today and see how that effects the idle. I'm...
I posted a thread about our model A street rod build. The owner bought 3 "stromberg 97s". One day I was working on stuff and I see some boxes come in with SpeedMaster on them. I said what did you buy from them. He said my carbs. I told him he should have never done that but he had no idea and we...
I'm going to install one in the fuel pump plate. I need to make some type of baffle first. I'm going to drill into the plenum and install a fitting with a tube that will use both banks. This is a 276" motor we are putting in a 30 Model A. It is 3X2 so it will mostly run off of the center carb...
I did what is depicted in the sketches above but I also plugged the passage going from the pump cavity to the rear main. I then drilled a new passage down from the fuel pump push rod to the rear main and added the hole to the bearing. This way all three mains feed off of the center tube and are...
Not yet. Still getting all of the plumbing sorted. And I need at least some exhaust on it. Maybe this week or the next, but I've been saying that for 2 months.
I have no reason to believe it won't work. It's a high volume pump and the system is pressurized like any other engine. If it tries to run hot I'll add cooling lines to the rear of the motor.
