Thanks. It does not have the slant windshield with visor. I have adjusted it as far back as possible but could use some more room. Master Cylinder, how were you able to move the whole seat back 3 inches? Bending the gearshift is a whole other issue ........

I have a 31 town sedan. I need to find out if the front seat can be adjusted back - I am 6'4" tall and having trouble getting in/out and the pedals. Any modifications? Thanks.

Thanks everyone. The shift tower was the problem. The shift rails needed to be cleaned and I used penetrating oil to get the forks to move. Emery cloth and 0000 steel wool helped move this process forward. Once they moved, re-installed the tower, started the car, depressed the clutch and BINGO...

I have checked many things but my 31 will not go into gear. Took top off of ****** and everything seems to be "functioning" properly. Car starts but will not let me shift into gear. Running or not, will not go into any gear. Thoughts? Oil was clean but I changed it anyhow. Car had been sitting...

So I checked then drained and replaced ****** fluid. Took top off the ****** and I am lost as for the next step. Kurt, you said to clamp it in a vice to see if the forks are moving. Any other things I should be looking for? Very frustrating. Thank you everyone for all the help.

Engine running, tried rocking the car while tryng to shift into a gear but no luck.

Car has been sitting in storage for 5 years. Transmission is in neutral. Got engine running, cannot shift into any gear! Any help is appreciated.
