    Model A C-Cab project

The depot hacks where I work part time are laminated/plywood, I think 1/4? It's not quite Luan thin, but definitely not thick either. Really nice body so far. Looking forward to seeing the finished project! v/r, jason

    T showroom

When I did my docent thing at Piquette (someday I hope to get back there on weekends, life is just too busy now), we learned about showroom setups. It was actually a somewhat standardized process, and the things like palm trees and wicker furniture were part of the setup. According to Ford, they...

Subrails for a '30 Commercial Cowl?

Thanks, Rotorwrench! I found a post on Facebook today of a 'doodlebug' that used a Commercial Cowl. In the pictures, I was able to see that we do indeed need wood blocks in between the cowl itself and the brackets on the frame. It showed clearly the pieces that were missing and what needs to be...

    Cell Phone Holder

One of the guys I work with at Greenfield Village has an A he drives often. He has the one from Snyder's and is highly complementary of it.

Subrails for a '30 Commercial Cowl?

Thank you, BobC! I'll try fitting it again. I think we were trying to line it up with that small bracket in the front and the big one in the rear. Now that I see where it should go it makes more sense. V/R, jason

Subrails for a '30 Commercial Cowl?

Good afternoon, all! My sons and I are building a speedster using an A chassis and a Commercial Cowl. Does anyone have drawings showing how the subrails that mount the two together look? We set it on the chassis and it's obvious there is something missing as they are nowhere near close to...

How to start a '28 Ford Model "A" the "Old-Time Way"

Sometimes starting the Ts at Greenfield Village I have to give the choke a 'blip' while it's cranking and then they will fire right up. It's usually when it's been cranked and started then died. Very Respectfully, jason

    46-48 frame under Model A??

Not quite Model A, but shows what whittling to the frame needs to be done to fit under a smaller car. In this case, he used a T. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-free-t.1104506/ I actually kinda dig it. v/r, jason

Ford Piquette Avenue - Model T Museum

I am a docent there when I have time (and not much lately due to being a Ford employee and student at Embry-Riddle), and like Gary I try to make it back every year for the Model T birthday party (last weekend in September, usually). The amazing thing about the museum itself is that the owners...

    Model T Racing Thread

My 17 year old son picked this up a couple months ago. He's hoping to build a speedster out of it.

Wood spoke wheels for Model A rear axle?

Interesting you say that- I have a set of hubs from an early '30's Buick, with a couple of spokes left. They are off an old axle that was on a farm wagon, the spindles were welded straight ahead. I may try that... Thanks for the food for thought.

Wood spoke wheels for Model A rear axle?

OK, so there would need to be some adaption required. ;) Still a path to look into- thanks again!

Wood spoke wheels for Model A rear axle?

I did not know that, but that is exactly what I was looking for... do A and AA's share the same bolt pattern on the hub? Thanks for that tip! jk
