It’s done.
I removed the 1/2” bolt from the front of the radius rods at the tt. Then I loosened the 2 bolts at the rear. I jacked the rear wheels up and placed ramps under the tires facing opposite directions. I hammered the end of the tt and bounced the car up and down but still couldn’t get...
Rockfla,
Thanks. That’s a generous offer. No need for you to go to all that trouble. I think I can just pick one up here at Ace hardware tomorrow.
Richard
Kube,
It does sound like something is off .but it seems that if it was bent the rod would be shortened? With the hole extending 1/4” beyond the bolt it would seem to be longer!!
I’ll have more information in the morning.
Richard
Rich,
That sounds like a great idea! There is no way to lever it back from the torque tube position at the front but with the bolts removed from the back I can bolt it at the torque tube and lever it forward until I can get one of the bolts in and the hopefully the other. Genius!
My brother is...
Tim the passenger side rod is about 1/4” forward of the hole. Needs to slide back.
Mart I will try that.
Seth, I have the 1/2” bolt, it just won’t line up to go through the passenger side radius rod. I will need a castle nut.
Richard

I jacked the car up and put ramps on each wheel facing opposite directions and rocked the car up and down. Rod didn’t move.
Wrapped a strap around the passenger side axel and attached it to truck trailer hitch and pulled. No movement.
Is this what I...
I recently had work done on my 1933 rear end. When I got my car back I noticed unusual noise coming from under the car. Upon examination I found that the bolt that secures the rear radius rods to the torque tube only halfway through the hole with no nut on the other side. I was able to get...
Looks like we escaped any severe wind damage. We didn’t even loose power!
Storm surge didn’t happen here in coastal communities south ofTallahassee. We were lucky with the eye coming in east of us. The storm blew the water away from shore out into the gulf. Low tide helped too.

Was this devise really effective in offering better stabilization or was it more akin to intake manifolds that promise substantial increase in horsepower.
How was it attached. It looks like just a smooth round cylinder.
Richard
Thanks everybody for all the information.
B & S, I’ll contact H & H again and see if they will give me the information. It would be really helpful to have.
