Kit for mating juice brakes to early spindles-Richard's Early V8 garage?

The bearing spacers from MT and Early V8 Garage were made to be a press fit on UNWORN spindles, but almost all of the spindles have enough wear that red locktite is needed to prevent rotation.

Who here does the manual to hydraulic pedal conversion, on the original pedal assembl

I'm still here!!! We've been a little busy... Barners keep sending us good customers... Working WAY too hard for an old guy... (Maybe ran outa things to post???)

    Master cylinder conversion

We use a 7/8" MC on our 1932 kit BECAUSE of the over-all pedal ratio resulting from our design. We use 1-1/16" on 33-34, 35-36 and 37-38 kits. If we install a "dual" MC on 33-34 we are stuck with a 1" which is not ideal due to the increased pedal travel required. We do have one with built-in...

    1939 Hydraulic Brake Drum

Your 33 no doubt still has the original (rear) drums and wheel cylinders have been added to the original brakes... You need to find an ORIGINAL 32-34 rear hub/drum that has not been hogged out beyond the limit (12.060" on the West coast and evidently 12.080" on the East...) As you have...

    35-36 engine/trans rear frame brackets

WANTED FOR A CUSTOMER'S 1936 FORDOR: These are the two brackets that are riveted into the frame on which the 35-36 rear transmission mount (with the rubber O) sits and bolts to. Ford Part numbers 48-5059 RH and 48-5060 LH. Need a nice clean pair, not rusty or damaged, with good holes where the...

B-3311 steering ball. Taper too big.

Mac's has the correct ones, but they and others obviously also have the old incorrect ones that they are selling. Before I was able to work with Mac's to have them corrected (several years ago) I had a tapered mill cutter made and actually cut the taper in the spindle arm deeper until 1/2" of...

    Oil in the driveshaft tube

I just measured one from Bruce's and the flange is 1/8" thick. I've been meaning to suggest to Danny that he make it 1/16" instead. We made one for Dennis' T a few years back and made it 1/16" and was not a problem having it thinner. The extra thickness does create some issues regarding the...

Hydraulic brakes on a 34 ford

Ted: Actually our conversions are designed so that NO butchering of anything is involved and uses factory holes in most cases, and no need to relocate the battery, and uses original pedals. For those who MUST keep mechanical brakes, Ted is the man. Otherwise, there is a good alternative to...

Pressing New drums onto hubs-wheel stud diameter issue

Hey Dick! I think he is saying that his hubs are on top of the drums, which would be what we call an "outie" hub that is used with an "innie" drum, which are the "problem drums." I think the only "innie" drums available are from South America??? I don't know if the old issues with those have...

Converting 37 mech. brakes to hydraulic ?

Thanks again Charlie!!! For those who prefer mechanical brakes I have no quarrel. However, IF one prefers to convert to hydraulic brakes while doing no harm, we have solutions... 39-42 Ford/Lockheed brakes have adjustable lower shoe anchors to PROPERLY CENTER THE SHOE LINING in the drums...

Pressing New drums onto hubs-wheel stud diameter issue

We have been extemely busy and I have not been posting on the Barn very much... It is difficult to tell from the photo which style hubs/drums you are trying to mount. The style that the hub flange fits INSIDE the drum are preferable, whereas the style where the hub flange is on the OUTSIDE of...

Hydraulic brakes on a 34 ford

A huge THANKS to all who recommended our stuff and for posting the photo sheet. My little CS website developed a "malfunction" awhile ago and I learned today that it is too old to fix... So I will now have to get off my *%@ and make a new one - standby! Meanwhile, my e-mail is earlyv8@aol.com...
