Hanging brake pedal with original clutch pedal

I used to have that arrangement in my 34. It looked strange but also means you have your master cylinder on the fire wall.

    1936 Overheating Problem

I would check timing using vacuum gauge. Adjust distributor to optimize vacuum reading. (I think the attachment is for gauge readings, if not search on Ford Barn)

    ‘36 LB. temp ranges, thermostats?

Re: ‘36 LB. temp ranges, thermostats? Not for me. I advance or retard distributor. I actually have no brake on at all. Again, I do this as a result of previous postings.

    ‘36 LB. temp ranges, thermostats?

Re: ‘36 LB. temp ranges, thermostats? I use a vacuum gauge with car idling. I adjust distributor to get highest reading then drop back slightly. Use search as this topic has been discussed frequently and vacuum readings are well covered.

    ‘36 LB. temp ranges, thermostats?

Re: ‘36 LB. temp ranges, thermostats? Had a similar experience myself. Turned out that the timing was retarded.

    Lifting a 8ba engine

I don’t know where I got this from but I have used several times. It has no identification. It fits in the engine with the intake manifold removed. Sorry I don’t have any pictures of in use. Anybody have any ideas ?

    Spark Advance versus Overheat

I am a believer in the vacuum gauge. I don’t have any experience with Pertronix so I am not sure if this negates gauge use. What reading do you get ?

    Rear Axle Housing Bearing

When I replaced bearings in my 34 I purchased through Joblot Automotive (no longer in business). They supplied Timken bearings and they match up with what you have posted.

    Point gap affect on timing

Sorry I failed to mention I have returned to original coil and condensor (tested) and resistor is connected. Carb is 97 and I will be looking at it further as it still seems to be leaking from plunger at times. Vacuum is steady. It's raining here today. Probably won't get on the highway until...

    Point gap affect on timing

I have had some success with my distributor problem. Observe the taper on the offset cam connect. I replaced with another that was rectangular and am now getting a reasonable vacuum 22. A short drive is encouraging. Once I get insurance on I will give it a highway run. Let you know.
