    What year Harley?

I had a 1941, and it had a friction shock that was adjustable for smoother or stiffer ride. My next one was a 1947 and had the shock like in the picture. Both the 41 and the 47 had chrome handle bars as well as the "crash bars" on the side, so I am guessing it to be between 1942 and 1946, (war...

    Roy Nacewicz

Sorry to hear, just looking at the picture, posted in #66 above, this is three of the most helpful men during my 32 restoration. David and Michael, I will say thank you, and I wish that I could have told Roy thanks again, as I did each time I talked with him. Reggie

Newest Acquisition --- 1934 Station Wagon

A 1934 Ford Coupe was my first ride. Since I was born in 1936, I was wrapped in my blanket and placed in the package tray, or so I was told. That was my Child seat! My Dad kept the coupe until 1940 when he traded it in on a new Chevrolet Master Deluxe 2 Door. I remember rides in the coupe...

passenger side of the motor running 20 degrees hotter than driver side

I had a Dodge Chassis Motor Home that was running so hot on the right side that the exhaust manifold would be a cherry red after about two hours of hwy running. I checked everything I could think of. One day it came to me while I was putting new plugs and points and going through the carburetor...

    1932 Cowl Gasket/Seal

I don't remember for sure, but I think they told me they got their's from Carpenter or Drake, anyway they did not make the one they sold. I think I purchased the Vintique from Joe's Auto Parts. Reggie

    1932 Cowl Gasket/Seal

Yes I came up with one that worked for me. I used a Vintique and set 3, 2 liter bottles of water on the cowl door to help compress the gasket, left it on there for a couple of weeks, seems to have worked well. ordered two more for spares, but not likely to need them. I also placed it in the oven...

    8-n oil

My Dad bought a 1949 8N new and it has never had anything but AW 46 hydro oil for the last 50+ years, with no problems so far. An old tractor mechanic advised us to change from Ford Brand because he said it was less cost and was the same basic oil. It don't do as much work as it did when it was...

    1932 Radiator Cap

I have a 32 Radiator Cap, it is old and needs plating. My question, is it an original or a repop? It has the raised letters B 8100 A 2. David mentioned in his book about the B 8100 A, but I find nothing about the A 2. Do I have it plated and put a repair kit in it, or toss it and buy a repop...

    Headlight conduit routing 1932

I suppose this is a stupid question, but what is the length and diameter of "A" vs "32" Conduits, if it has been posted, I have either overlooked it or somehow missed it. Thanks Reggie

    Christchurch KiWi barners

My Wife and I spent over a month in NZ back in 1995, on our 40th anniversary, and always intended to go back for another stay, but never made it. Yes I remember driving on the wrong side of the road, and the wrong side of the car, and yes we walked upside down. We visited both Islands, and petty...
