Does any Vendor have an entire top 'kit'

I didn't think the chicken wire was there from the "factory"?? There seems to be some question on the coupes. I think some had it, some didn't. I left it in, as my car is going to be driven, and it adds a lot of support to the roof system. This car had had a roof replacement years ago, so it...

Does any Vendor have an entire top 'kit'

I just did the job with a kit from Mac's. Everything included but the wire. Nice stuff and went well. Patience is the key, and best done when it's warm.... nicer fit. You'll want the visor installed prior to doing the front hidem strip.

    Stranded

"swap out a condensor on the road without dropping the manifolds.. " Dave- Wouldn't it be easier to just lift the distributor out to change the condenser? That seems much simpler than removing manifolds, IMO.

    Aviation gas in Model A

Purdy, I agree....years ago, we had "Clark Super 100" stations all over Minnesota. All they sold was 100 octane leaded gasoline. I could tell the difference right away when I put it in a Cushman Eagle, or mini-bike. It also made the old 4 cyl. Porsche bathtubs go fast! Looking forward to the end...

Any one ever taken there A off roading?

My first A was a '31 SW Town Sedan, purchased strictly for grouse hunting in the northern MN. woods. That was long before ATV/fourwheelers, but we went plenty of places you couldnt' get to any other way, besides walking. Tire chains on the '19's that I never took off.

    Is your preference a 28, 29, 30 or 31 Model A?

I've had several '29's, '30's, and '31's. I'm with CarlG on this one...all I have/want is more '31's! Need a roadster and a pickup to complete the wish list, but a V-8 1 ton (32-34) is not far behind.

    '30 Coupe roof insert

What is the best method to get the hidem to lay flat when going around the rear corners on a coupe, or late sedan? Do you slice the inside edge, cut pie slices out of inside edge? I'm this close to completing the job, but not happy with how the welting looks in the corners. Any advice greatly...
