My Mickey Mouse fix..... I took out one .001 shim, cut it in half, and installed the two pieces on the front end of the shim pack and torqued it down. The bearing is now .015 on both ends.

I'm plastiguaging babbit bearings. One rod bearing measures .001 in the front and .002 in the back. Should I try to fix this somehow or will it be ok?

I'm overhauling an engine, plastiguaging the babbit mains and rods, etc. Two of the rods measure .001 on one side and .002 on the other I'm thinking about removing a shim, cutting it in half and installing it back on the .001 side making it .002 on both sides. Or should I just leave it alone.

I am trying to download pictures of some items by husband wants to sell. I get a message that says a "security token" is missing. I've tried one picture at a time and I still get the same thing. Can you help me? How do I make the pictures smaller, maybe that's the problem.

On my show cars I run the yellow wire back through the terminal box and hook up an inline fuse holder. Then back to the terminal box and the correct terminal. That way I don't have to see a fuse hanging out the side of my starter motor. Original Model As didn't have fuses.

I too want to install a dome light in my current tour car restoration. I'm also planning to install button switches in the door jambs and rumble seat opening so the lights go on when a door or rumble lid is opened. Just like a modern car.

Unless you're going to leave your Model A out in the weather, don't waste money on the best quality automotive paint. Any catalized single stage automotive paint system, if applied according to the spec sheet, will be just fine. I think most of our Model As are only outdoors a few days per month.
