Thanks GreenMonster. I'm still not having any luck in finding the filter that goes inside the canister. It seems like they may not even make them anymore. I wonder if I could clean this one out somehow and still get use out of it?

Yes I think it is cast aluminum. It says "oilpure refinery" on the top of it. The canister is in good shape...just can't find the filter that goes inside the canister.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions guys. I just got this truck a few weeks ago so I'm sure I'll have more questions along the way. Glad I found the ford barn website.
