I have been trying and trying to find a set of leather top hold down straps for my 1931 Deluxe Roadster restoration project...NONE of the usual parts suppliers have them....they show them in the online catalogs but term them as "no longer available"....even O'Neils in England doesn't have...

It took me 11 months of pretty much working full time on it (I'm retired). I am the "customer of the year" at Snyders for 2019!! (LOL)

I did everything myself....most difficult was upholstery and top....paint is Stone Brown urethane single stage....my first Model A restoration...had a lot of fun....

How is the backrest spring held in place at the top? The bottom of it is held in place by 3 "clips" (shown in photo) at the bottom...but what holds it at the top??? Are there clips? I can't seem to find anything in any of the supplier catalogs to address this....Thanks RB

Does any sort of spec sheet exist which shows where to mount the tack rail fasteners on the tack rail? I installed a new tack rail (wood) on my restoration but don't know where to put the tack rail fasteners??? Or....what is the preferred method for attaching them??? (I don't have a top or side...

After having spent a lot of time using fine line masking tape to tape off the accent color lines (areas) on my 1931 Deluxe Roadster restoration, and then using newspaper to mask off the non painted areas, and then spraying the accent color, and then UNmasking the body.......I got to wondering...

What type of screws/bolts are used to fasten the curved inner rumble panel to the d-nuts at the top of the outer lower panel? There are 6 d-nuts in place on the lower rear panel....10-32 thread….'31 Deluxe roadster. Thanks....!!
