After cleaning out the rad and refilling it there is no sign of any issues with it. I wasn't sure if this was an old trick to raise the water temp by slowing down flow through the rad.
Has anyone ever heard of stuffing the top of a rad with hemp rope? I drained the rad today to put antifreeze in. When I looked in through the filler neck I saw something floating. I reached in with needlenose pliers and pulled out some rope. There was lots of it in there. Thanks in advance for...
I'm curious to know how close the colour of the Tacoma Creme is. I just received my order from Modelawheelcolors today but won't be using it right away.
Every year when you buy plates you have to report the mileage on the car to MTO (Ministry of Transport Ontario). They hassled my friend one year because he only drove his car 7 miles. I'm not sure how they would handle the switch to kilometres....typical government agency....not very flexible.
A trick I saw somewhere was to partially inflate the tube inside the tire before installing the tire. I haven't tried it yet but it seems like it should work better than trying to force the flat tube in.
My only concern would be getting the MTO to understand that a car that has had the mileage reported in miles for 87 years is all of a sudden in Kilometres.
I just had the same problem and in my case the flasher unit had gone bad in only 3 months use. Waiting on a replacement now. Nobody near me stocks 6V flashers.
When my lights developed a dead short I eventually took the headlight switch apart and found a small blob of grease inside that would make contact when the switch was turned. Probably not a common thing but worth a look.
