When I fill tank above 1/2 full the gas is visible in the gauge on my 31 SW. Is this a common thing or is there a problem some where? Thanks for any comments.

It sure looks like a 60B Leatherback to me. It also shows the butterfly metal inserts to the right and left of the back window.

Taking gas cap off made no difference, filter is clean no junk in it. It appears my problem is before the shutoff on firewall. Problem has been developing for several months. This year I started using ethanol free gas and haven't done anything else that may effect this problem.

My 1931 SW must have dirt or rust in the tank. I have a clear in line filter between outside shut off and carburetor. Several times in the past few weeks while driving,the engine died from lack of gas. I immediately checked the filter and no gas was evident in the filter. I taped the pipe that...

When you go there, make sure you visit their farm and plan to spend quite some time looking at their car collection. It is just a short drive from their store.

I checked all areas of previous posts that were suggested and I still have the same problem, engine dies when stopping. The only solution that I have found is prior to stopping move hand throttle down a couple of notches.

Weather appears to have no effect,engine just dies on deceleration.The only time it does this is on stops.Otherwise, it runs just great,starts great,idles great,good power,etc.

A problem has developed when I come to a stop at a stop sign or red light. My engine stops unless I step on accelerator or pull down on hand throttle. I have set idle to a faster RPM, adjusted carburetor, checked timing with no positive results. I am open to suggestions, Thanks Ray.
